Three Brother's Nursery was established in Middlesex, New Jersey in 1952. Richard Wedderman and his two brothers, Art and Robert, made a commitment to sell plants, shrubs and trees, with the emphasis on 'quality products at reasonable prices'.

Richard's brother Robert passed away at a young age. At that point Richard and Art asked thier brother Ben to join the company. Again making three brothers Nursery true to its name. After some time Art left to join the armed services and Ben retired and Richard was left to run the company himself. Richard then partnered with his son, Robert, while continuing to provide quality plant material and knowledgeable information with the addition of landscaping services, both residential and commercial.
In 1972 both Richard and Robert moved the nursery from Warrenville road in Middlesex NJ, to its present location in rural warren county, Port Murray NJ. The whole family was involved at this time including Richard and his wife Emma, Robert and his wife Arlene. Later Robert's sons would also soon join the company, making three generations of family in the business.

The late 70's saw the nursery growing in its new community and had many additions over those years. Greenhouses, a country gift shop, a full service florist were to give customers many more services to meet their needs. During that time the landscaping services also prospered and Three Brother's became a name you could trust in the community.
1991 saw the passing of Richard, the nursery continued on with still three generations still working together in the business. Emma became one of the cornerstones at the nursery, there everyday to greet customers with her pleasant smile and kind words. For years she was known fondly to our customers as " the little old lady behind the counter" and would always be willing too help any way she could.
Emma, Robert and his wife Arlene and their two sons Randy and Jeff were running the nursery and florist and the addition of Randy's children meant there would be four generations at the nursery, all carrying on the family business.
May of 2008 would see the passing of Emma also, everyone would surely miss her smiling face. With Richard and Emma gone we still continue to carry out the family business the way they would have wanted it, a small family oriented business with friendly service.
